Reset and Extend Windows 7, Windows 8/8.1 Trial Period up to One Year

  1. Open the command prompt with administrative privilege.
  2. Type ‘slmgr.vbs -rearm‘ in command windows and hit Enter
  3. The system will prompt you to restart.
  4. Once restarted check the system status using the command: slmgr/xpr. You will find your Windows trail will be extended for Another 30 days.

Registry tweaks to get additional 240 days trial period

  1. Type Win+R, type Regedit to open Registry Editor.
  2. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\SoftwareProtectionPlatform
  3. In the right section find out the SkipRearm‘ dword 32-bit key and change its value to ‘1’ from ‘0’.
